As we continue onboarding larger accounts, we are expanding our capabilities in EDI fulfillment, retailer compliance, routing, labeling, and ASN processing. We are looking for an experienced EDI & Retail Compliance Warehouse Specialist who can execute retailer orders accurately, guide our warehouse team, and help ensure that every shipment meets the specific requirements of each retailer. About the Position This is a hands-on warehouse role for someone with previous experience processing EDI and retail distribution orders. The ideal candidate understands that every retailer has different requirements for routing, labeling, packing, palletizing, documentation, and shipment confirmation. This person will review retailer routing guides, translate requirements into clear warehouse instructions, oversee order preparation, and verify compliance before shipments leave our facility. Key Responsibilities
  • Process and oversee EDI orders for major retailers and distribution centers
  • Review purchase orders, routing guides, vendor manuals, and retailer-specific shipping requirements
  • Create, review, and confirm Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs)
  • Coordinate EDI documents, including purchase orders, acknowledgments, shipment confirmations, and invoices
  • Ensure orders comply with retailer requirements for packing, carton configuration, labeling, palletizing, and documentation
  • Generate and validate UCC-128 and GS1-128 carton and pallet labels, including SSCC labels
  • Verify carton counts, SKU quantities, case packs, lot information, and shipment details before dispatch
  • Coordinate routing requests, pickup appointments, and shipping deadlines
  • Work directly with pickers, packers, warehouse supervisors, customer service, and transportation partners
  • Provide clear instructions and training to warehouse employees for each retailer's requirements
  • Perform final quality-control inspections before orders are released
  • Identify potential compliance issues before shipment to prevent chargebacks, deductions, and rejected deliveries
  • Maintain retailer-specific procedures, checklists, and compliance records
  • Assist with troubleshooting EDI errors, rejected transactions, missing ASNs, and labeling discrepancies
  • Support continuous improvement of Stockmatic's B2B and retail fulfillment processes Required Qualifications
  • Previous hands-on experience with EDI orders, ASNs, and retail distribution requirements
  • Experience working in a warehouse, 3PL, fulfillment center, distribution center, or retail shipping operation
  • Strong understanding of retailer routing guides and vendor compliance requirements
  • Experience with UCC-128 or GS1-128 labels, SSCC numbers, carton labels, pallet labels, and bills of lading
  • Ability to read purchase orders and convert customer requirements into clear warehouse instructions
  • Experience coordinating routing requests, carrier pickups, and delivery appointments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to shipment accuracy
  • Ability to train and guide warehouse employees
  • Comfortable working on a computer and learning warehouse and EDI systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple retailer accounts simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate professionally in English Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with major national retailers, department stores, marketplaces, or retail distribution centers
  • Experience in a third-party logistics or multi-client warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with EDI transaction sets such as 850, 855, 856, and 810
  • Experience with warehouse management systems, EDI portals, and retailer vendor portals
  • Familiarity with Logiwa or similar warehouse management systems
  • Experience investigating and preventing retailer chargebacks
  • Spanish language skills are a plus What We Are Looking For We need someone who understands retail compliance from practical experience, not only from an administrative perspective.
The right candidate will be comfortable working at a computer, reviewing documentation, and being present on the warehouse floor to ensure orders are picked, packed, labeled, palletized, and shipped correctly. This person should be proactive, highly detail-oriented, and confident enough to guide the team when retailer requirements are complex or time-sensitive. Why Join Stockmatic?
  • Join a growing logistics and fulfillment company
  • Help build and improve our expanding retail compliance operation
  • Work with a variety of national retailers, brands, and distribution programs
  • Take ownership of an important operational function
  • Opportunity for professional growth as our B2B and retail business expands To Apply Please submit your résumé and include a brief description of your experience with EDI orders, ASNs, retailer routing guides, UCC-128 or GS1-128 labels, and retail compliance.
