The Warehouse Supervisor will regularly work alongside Warehouse Coordinators performing day-to-day warehouse duties, including preparing equipment orders, pulling and returning gear, loading and unloading trucks, scanning equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. As the employee develops in the role, additional operational and leadership responsibilities will be added. An important part of this position includes working on selected show sites and running equipment boneyards. This experience is intended to provide firsthand understanding of how warehouse preparation, organization, labeling, packing, and inventory procedures affect technicians and production crews in the field. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to bring those observations back to the warehouse and help identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes. The Warehouse Supervisor should have a broad working knowledge of professional audiovisual equipment at approximately an experienced stagehand level. Expert-level knowledge of audio, video, or lighting is not required. The Warehouse Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Experience, Education, and Skills Required High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in professional AV, live events, production, staging, or a similar environment General working knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and common production equipment Warehouse experience preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and follow-through skills Comfortable providing direction while also working alongside the team Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency Ability to identify problems and assist with developing practical solutions Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, email, and performing accurate data entry Valid Florida Class E driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable driving a 26-foot box truck Willing and able to work selected events as part of the position Ability to work occasional extended days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on warehouse and event schedules Job Functions and Duties Assist with the daily operation, organization, and workflow of the warehouse. Work alongside Warehouse Coordinators to pull, prepare, stage, scan, return, stock, and organize equipment. Load and unload trucks, vans, and other company vehicles before and after events. Help ensure equipment is properly packed, labeled, organized, and prepared before leaving the warehouse. Identify missing, damaged, or incorrectly prepared equipment and assist with resolving issues. Assist the Warehouse Manager in establishing daily warehouse priorities and work assignments. Help prioritize warehouse workload based on upcoming events, equipment requirements, shipping deadlines, and return schedules. Monitor progress against equipment pull, return, and shipping deadlines and communicate potential delays or issues to the Warehouse Manager. Help coordinate warehouse staffing requirements based on upcoming show schedules and workload. Provide direction to warehouse personnel as needed while continuing to work alongside the team. Assist with onboarding and hands-on training of Warehouse Coordinators and other warehouse personnel. Reinforce established warehouse procedures, inventory practices, and safety expectations. Maintain accurate inventory procedures and help ensure established warehouse processes are consistently followed. Assist with basic testing, cleaning, and maintenance of event and audiovisual equipment. Run equipment boneyards on selected show sites and maintain organization, accountability, and control of equipment throughout the event. Use show-site experience to identify opportunities to improve warehouse preparation, packing, labeling, organization, and other processes. Communicate observations and recommended process improvements to the Warehouse Manager. Gradually take on additional Warehouse Manager responsibilities as knowledge, experience, and leadership skills increase. Assume responsibility for daily warehouse operations when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable. Operate company vehicles as required, including 26-foot box trucks. Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Maintain a professional attitude when working with coworkers, vendors, clients, technicians, and venue staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements This is a hands-on warehouse and event-production position that requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to:
Lift up to 75 pounds Help move equipment or cases weighing more than 100 pounds Stand and move around for extended periods Load and unload trucks and equipment cases Safely use stairs, ramps, loading docks, and warehouse equipment Work safely in active event-production environments Read equipment labels, inventory information, show documentation, and basic instructions Perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Work safely while managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities Typical Working Conditions Most warehouse work is performed in a ventilated warehouse that is not air-conditioned. Some work may also be performed outdoors or around loading docks in hot, cold, or rainy conditions. This position will also work on selected live-event show sites. Show-site conditions may include convention centers, hotels, meeting facilities, loading docks, backstage areas, equipment boneyards, and other active production environments. The position requires regular, punctual attendance and is normally scheduled Monday through Friday while working in the warehouse. Extended workdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel will occasionally be required based on the event schedule. Equipment and Training This position will work around audiovisual equipment, production equipment, warehouse tools, inventory systems, and company vehicles. Training will be provided for d3g-specific systems, procedures, and equipment as needed, including: Inventory systems and procedures Forklifts Stationary lifts Scissor lifts Pallet jacks Company vans and box trucks Other warehouse tools and equipment d3g warehouse preparation, packing, labeling, and return procedures As part of the development of this position, additional training and responsibility will be provided in warehouse operations, workflow planning, inventory control, employee coordination, and other responsibilities associated with the Warehouse Manager position. Computer Skills Basic to intermediate computer skills are required. This position should be comfortable using a Windows computer, responding to emails, entering and reviewing information in the inventory system, and locating and organizing basic files and folders.
