Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Outbound Lead to oversee and optimize our distribution center's outbound operations. This pivotal role involves managing the team responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory control, ensuring seamless logistics flow and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the outbound warehouse team to ensure efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities. Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipment scheduling, and materials handling. Oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to maintain safety and productivity. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste. Maintain accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and inventory management systems. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse activities. Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize distribution routes and delivery schedules. Monitor warehouse performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies for continuous improvement. Manage team schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of safety and accountability. Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments, preparing documentation, and resolving discrepancies. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations with a focus on outbound logistics within a distribution center environment. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous warehouse supervisor or team management experience. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office tools. Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners. Familiarity with logistics procedures, shipping & receiving protocols, and materials handling best practices. Ability to communicate effectively across teams using managerial communication skills. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations. Experience with process improvement methodologies like lean management is highly desirable. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and other manual handling tasks safely. Valid forklift certification or equivalent material handling equipment operation credentials preferred.
