We are a specialty chemical company seeking shipping & receiving help within our manufacturing facility in Dalton, GA. We currently operate in 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8AM. - 5 PM. M- F. with a 1 hour lunch break. We do not tend to work weekends. Be mindful that this job is in a fast paced warehouse environment. You will have to be able to pick up at minimum 50lbs, will be operating on a fork lift, and will be need to be computer literate.

Responsibilities Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and receiving paperwork is handed over to Purchasing. Prepare shipments, print shipping labels and shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly. Receive incoming shipments. Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Properly label all hazardous materials Responsible for reporting any returned product to the Plant Manager and Customer Accounts Coordinator as it arrives. Obtain freight quotes and schedule freight pickups and deliveries. Responsible for utilizing prescribed rotation practices of raw materials and finished goods in stock; following FIFO. Education Minimum - High School Diploma or GED Specific Skills Fork Lift Certified. (or will be certified upon hire) Basic computer literacy: Microsoft Office, TMS system, ERP system Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in hot or cold climates. Self-starter that responds to direction and assumes responsibility for completing tasks on time. Strong organization skills. Strong attention to detail and accurate document preparation Ability to balance competing priorities and adapt to changing environments; many forces impact this position that are outside of the coordinators control; candidate must be able to handle frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Attendance and punctuality, must consistently be at work on time. Must have physical stamina to work in a fast paced environment for 8-10 hours. Must be able to accurately weigh materials using different types of scales. Able to obtain all necessary certifications. Ability to tolerate and wear safety glasses and other PPE during working hours in the plant. Preferred Experience Previous roles in shipping/receiving, warehousing, or chemical production facility Awareness of ISO9001 practices Forklift operation and safe handling of materials Experience in domestic and international shipping Experience shipping and handling of chemicals including hazardous materials Completed DOT-mandated training (49 CFR 172.704) IMDG and IATA certifications Familiarity with ERP systems Experience with TMS software Familiarity with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule Experience preparing BOLs, Certificates of Origin, USMCAs, Dangerous Goods Declarations, and Air-Weigh Bills and other hazardous materials and customs documents Experience negotiating rates, filing claims, and scheduling freight with LTL and FTL carriers and brokers
