A poultry shipping supervisor manages daily operations in the receiving, warehouse, and shipping departments of a poultry processing facility to ensure products are sent out safely, accurately, and on time.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations:
Oversee loading, staging, storage, and shipping of poultry products to make sure schedules and production targets are met.
Quality & Food Safety:
Verify that poultry is handled under proper temperatures and complies with USDA, HACCP, and company quality guidelines.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and coordinate shift workers and warehouse staff (often managing teams of 10+ employees).
Record Keeping:
Track inventory, verify orders against shipping records, and log details like date, quantity, destination, and any damaged or defective goods.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce health and safety regulations, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) rules on the production floor.
Cross-Department Coordination:
