Job Description
We are looking for experienced Dock Safety Coordinators for multiple shifts, based in Palmetto, GA. In this role you will be responsible for reinforcing safety quality input, standards, and output on new projects and processes in place. The completion of all assigned safety tasks are also part of your responsibility. About the Role How you will contribute
- Observe drivers unloading and loading trucks to ensure they follow safe practices. Maintain communication and situational awareness with delivery drivers to ensure the drivers unload and load and deliver goods in a timely manner.
- Report safety hazards, and unsafe practices and procedures to health and safety team leadership
- Maintain open communications with the syncreon inbound and outbound operations team, and resolve issues as they occur to streamline deliveries via radio and PINC
- Maintain records of preventative maintenance of dock equipment.
- Walk the yard to identify unsafe practices and safety hazards. Report problems to the health and safety team leadership and syncreon senior leadership
- Engage/Disengage gladhand lock on trailers
- Remove and properly dispose of seals on trailers
- Engage/ Disengage Dock Lock control
- Enter data in PINC regarding engaging/disengaging of gladhand lock
- Lift, Push, and/or Pull dock plate and dock door
- Other duties as assigned.
