Transportation, Logistics, Trucking Description Responsible for providing direction to Forklift Operators, training, assigning work, and resolving problems within area of responsibility. Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials from rail cars in distribution center or storage yard. Supports and trains newly hired forklift operators within their area of responsibility.

• Assists supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning, and directing work
• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.

Thursday - Sunday 1st shift

Hourly Rate:

$24.00

Shift Differential:

$1.50 Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Forklift Operator with rail-specific experience.
• Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.

g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
