ABOUT THE ROLE

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for directing the team's daily workflow. Uses critical thinking to ensure the yard is functional, safe, and operating at high efficiency. Operates sit-down and stand-up forklifts, clamp trucks, and double reach trucks. Performs general maintenance and clean-up of the work area. Ensures that all team members work safely and follow all company policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Checks outgoing and incoming loads for accuracy. Reports to Warehouse Supervisor any damage to products, property, or equipment. Completes incident reports. Reports all near-misses and safety incidents immediately. Prepares and processes documents such as pick tickets, work orders, spreadsheets, and bills of lading. Audit various tasks and team members to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Works closely with other departments to rectify discrepancies with damaged product, inventory shortages, misloads, and other issues.

Loads and unloads inbounds, raw materials, containers, flat beds, I-beams, box cars, and UPS/LTL.

Performs general cleanup and maintenance of your work area. Maintains the yard and warehouse in an efficient, orderly manner.

Responsible for the proper handling of materials and equipment to minimize the potential for damage and injury. Assists and directs drivers as they navigate through the yard.

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:

High school diploma or general education degree

Field of Study Preferred:

NA

Required Work Experience:

At least 1 year of experience operating sit-down pneumatic forklifts. Experience with MS Office Suite and G Suite strongly preferred. Ability to operate and learn various computer applications

Additional Requirements:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates, and management staff. Ability to perform basic math calculations with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to be flexible, adapt to changes quickly, and think conceptually. Must be reliable, with the ability to work independently and in a team setting, maintain a positive attitude, and remain calm in stressful situations. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, working within a diverse population.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
