Job Description

SUMMARY:
To assist the Picking Supervisor to insure a smooth workflow in the Picking department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain the daily workflow of the Picking area; 2. Train new employees in the picking department; 3.
Hands-on supervising:
work alongside Picking Associates as needed; 4. Update and report daily activities of department to the Picking Supervisor; 5. Provide productivity reports for picking associates; 6. Assist in the shift start up and clean-up. 7. Investigate and resolve inventory issues that affect groups; 8. Assist and make recommendations to improve overall operations; 9. Document performance issues so individuals can be addressed; 10. Keep the picking areas neat and orderly; 11. Special projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Picking Associates and temporary staff.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Prefer 2 years experience in a warehouse environment;
  • Proven work record consisting of high productivity;
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.;
  • Ability to operate Counter Balance, Walkie Rider, and Order Picker equipment;
  • PC skills and familiarity with HBG's or similar WMS required;
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency technology helpful;
  • Experience Leading/Managing product and/or people;
  • Excellent attendance record;
  • Ability to work with others;
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks;
  • Leadership, training, oral and written communications skills required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Equivalent to at least a high school education and 2 years relevant experience.
