The Role We are seeking a results-driven Materials Supervisor to lead material operations across shipping, receiving, and production support. This role is responsible for supervising material handlers, ensuring on-time customer shipments, maintaining inventory control, and supporting plant efficiency and cost objectives in a high-volume manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Supervise material handlers supporting shipping, receiving, and production operations Ensure customer shipment windows and on-time delivery requirements are consistently met Coordinate with production and planning teams to meet daily schedules and material needs Manage staffing levels and overtime to align with production demands and budget Oversee shipping documentation including bills of lading and manual shippers Support inventory control, material flow improvements, and cost-saving initiatives Ensure compliance with quality systems and customer requirements (e.g., TS/IATF standards) Lead employee performance management, training, and development Coordinate special projects including layout, packaging, and process improvements Who You Are High school diploma required; associate degree preferred 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive Experience in logistics, shipping, and inventory control Knowledge of JIT/ISP systems and customer shipping requirements Strong computer skills (ERP or Trans4M preferred) Ability to lead teams and drive accountability Strong attention to detail and follow-through Health, Safety, Physical & Travel Requirements Ability to work in office and manufacturing plant environments Normal sitting, standing, and mobility throughout facility Exposure to plant conditions and potential spill response situations Up to 5% travel required Valid driver's license required Life at Emotiv We believe great work happens when people feel valued, supported, and connected.
