WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR
| Kansas City area A growing, privately owned electrical contractor serving residential and commercial projects across the Kansas City area is hiring a full-time Warehouse Coordinator to run its electrical warehouse. Field crews load out at 7:00 a.m., and this role makes sure the right material is counted, staged, and ready before the trucks leave. You will work directly with field crews and company leadership, with real ownership of the warehouse and the records behind it. This is a strong fit for an organized, detail-driven person who wants a hands-on role with a company that is adding staff as its workload grows. $18-$20 per hour, full-time hourly Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm; Saturday (as needed), 7am-12pm
Overview:
Keep inventory accuracy at 98% or better through weekly cycle counts and monthly full counts, and run down every variance. Stage material for scheduled jobs and service calls so crews leave on time with what they need. Warn crews and leadership early about shortages, backorders, and substitutions. Receive deliveries, check packing slips against purchase orders, and resolve missing, damaged, or incorrect material with vendors. Cut, label, issue, and record wire, and track returns and scrap. Run tool and equipment checkout and return, and flag damaged, missing, or unsafe items. Keep the warehouse, yard, and staging areas clean, safe, and organized. Load and unload vehicles and deliveries, with the occasional supplier pickup or jobsite drop-off when needed.
Preferred skills and experience:
Forklift or warehouse equipment certification, or willingness to complete required training or certification Strongly Preferred - Warehouse, inventory control, material handling, or logistics experience Strongly Preferred - Working knowledge of electrical materials, components, tools, and terminology (wire, MC cable, EMT, conduit, devices, breakers, fittings) Experience with cycle counts, receiving against purchase orders, and keeping inventory records current Comfortable using basic computer and mobile tools for inventory, timekeeping, and records Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Able to lift and move 50 pounds or more safely and work on your feet all day Organized, dependable, and a clear communicator who works well independently and adjusts when job needs change
