Job Description

Job Summary Blue Tank & Pump is looking for a motivated Traveling Yard Supervisor to support our branches by ensuring our yards, equipment, and facilities are clean, organized, and operating efficiently. This position will travel between all company locations, assisting branches with yard organization, equipment inspections, and inventory management. The Traveling Yard Supervisor plays a critical role in helping each branch maintain a safe, organized, and ready operation. This individual will work closely with Blue Tank and Pump Management to improve workflow, identify needs, and ensure branches are organized efficiently. This is a hands-on position that works year-round in all weather conditions and requires frequent travel. Essential Responsibilities Travel to Blue Tank & Pump branches as assigned to organize equipment, yards and improve overall branch operations. Ensure equipment yards remain clean, organized, and laid out according to company standards and branch lot diagrams. Prepare rental equipment by fixing, inspecting, and verifying it is ready for customer use. Perform equipment inspections following company inspection procedures and accurately document inspection results. Identify equipment requiring maintenance or repairs and communicate priorities with Branch Managers and Operations Managers. Help communicate red-tagged equipment statuses to maximize fleet availability. Load and unload trucks using forklifts and manual labor while following all safety procedures. Maintain accurate inventory organization and help ensure each branch has the equipment needed to support day to day operations. Help train branch employees on inspection procedures, yard organization, equipment workflow, and company standards. Promote a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and encouraging proper housekeeping throughout the branch. Perform additional duties as assigned to support company operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in equipment rental, construction, environmental services, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred but not required. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify basic equipment maintenance needs. Forklift experience is preferred or willingness to become forklift certified. Ability to learn company inspection procedures and equipment standards. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while traveling between branches. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass a DOT mandated drug screen and physical. Ability to pass a company mandated background check. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain throughout the workday. Work safely in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and mud. Safely operate forklifts and other equipment after receiving company training. Travel Requirements This role requires extensive travel, typically Monday through Friday, every week. Candidates should be prepared to travel to branches weekly. There may be times that candidates will be working close to home but this should not be anticipated to happen regularly. A majority of the travel will be overnight travel away from home every week. Why Join Blue Tank & Pump? Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 45.0 per week
