Mon-Fri 6am-2pm w/OT available Pay rate: $23-24/hour Job Summary Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Responsible for supervising the receiving, storage and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Responsibilities:
Assist in establishing schedules. Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are completed properly. Apply sound communication and leadership techniques in assigning work and coaching associates. Carry out all customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, processing orders and handling complaints, in a prompt, courteous and effective manner. Supervise checking and unloading or inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with high levels of productivity. Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all products are properly counted. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are complete and free of damage. Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion. Compute and analyze daily, weekly production metrics. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Maintain product locator system. Ensure the optimal utilization of space. Rotate product as appropriate. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment. Maintain a clean, neat and safe work area. Assist in maintaining warehouse security. Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a net, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards. Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards. Label, sort, wrap, pack, un-pack & re-pack or provide other value added services as required. Attend warehouse planning meetings. Act as liaison between employees and management. Communicate industry and brand knowledge to associates Other responsibilities as assigned. Experience High School Diploma and at least 2-4 years of experience in related field Good leadership and communication skills. Familiarity with computers and material handling equipment is required (stand-up forklift skills required!!) Familiarity with MHE is required. Must have excellent work habits
