Responsibilities include:
Ensuring smooth patient flow and greeting patients Preparing patients for exams, measuring vital signs, and assisting with clinical procedures Updating electronic medical records with accurate patient information and test results Recommending and performing point-of-care testing (e.g., strep, urine, glucose) Reconciling medications and addressing minor patient concerns Providing patient education regarding exam preparations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or Medical Assistant Certification Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days 3+ years clinical experience, including 1+ years as a Medical Assistant Proficiency with computers, EMR systems, and reagent knowledge Understanding testing procedures and result factors
Preferred:
Associate degree or medical assistant certification program graduate ACLS certification may be required based on specialty This role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth, with travel between Norwood and Dedham locations included.
