We are seeking a detail-oriented LTL Shipping Coordinator to manage and coordinate less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments to multiple customers. This position is responsible for scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers and customers, tracking shipments, and ensuring orders are delivered accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has experience working with LTL carriers, freight scheduling, customer service, and transportation logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Schedule daily LTL shipments with multiple freight carriers.
- Coordinate shipment pickups and deliveries for several customers and locations.
- Select appropriate carriers based on service requirements, cost, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare bills of lading (BOLs), shipping labels, and other required freight documentation.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment schedules, tracking information, and delivery updates.
- Track shipments and proactively address delays, missed pickups, damages, or delivery issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure freight is ready for scheduled pickups.
- Obtain and compare freight rates and help identify cost-effective shipping options.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and update transportation systems or spreadsheets.
- Work directly with LTL carriers, freight brokers, customers, and internal departments.
- Ensure shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and documented according to customer and carrier requirements.
- Investigate freight discrepancies, claims, and delivery issues as needed.
- Prioritize multiple shipments and changing customer requirements in a fast-paced environment. Schedule is full-time, 1st shift . Pay rate is $28.00 - $30.00/hour, depending on experience. Apply now! Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in LTL shipping, logistics, transportation, or freight coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with LTL carriers, freight terminology, and shipping documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with ERP, transportation management, or shipping software is a plus.
