Job Description

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Have previous supervisory experience
  • Have a valid Missouri Class E driver's license and be insurable
  • Be flexible and adaptable on short notice
  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Work in a fast paced, often changing environment
  • Have or be able to obtain current Food Handler's license
  • Be able to work as a team member as well as a team leader
  • Be sensitive to the needs of low-income people
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Be proficient at operating all warehouse equipment and able to train others in their operation
  • Have good computing skills
  • Have initiative and strong leadership ability
  • Be proficient in basic math, have legible handwriting, be able to count product and to train others to do so
  • Lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
DUTIES:
1. Provide leadership and training to warehouse staff to ensure that all work is completed in a correct, safe, courteous and timely manner 2. Oversee the proper rotation of inventory in cooler, freezer and dry floor 3. Proactively anticipate the needs of the Front of House/Market team by preparing, organizing, and staging products, supplies, and materials before they are needed. 4. Report injuries and complete related paperwork immediately 5. Assign personnel to load and unload trucks 6. Provide supervision and oversight of warehouse team to achieve the operational needs of The Food Bank Market Warehouse 7. Coordinate record keeping of equipment maintenance and repair history, including routine inspections 8. Coordinate with Market Manager to ensure proper rotation of inventory & pre-stocking to help the front of house offer the best possible neighbor experience.
OPERATIONS
1. Responsible for directing all day-to-day tasks of The Food Bank Market Warehouse operations inclusive of, but not restricted to school market distributions, incoming deliveries, sorting of retail rescue, farm collections, daily donations, organization and collection of pallets & crates, and other warehouse materials. 2. Responsible for receiving and distributing food according to Food Bank policies, including unloading trucks, pulling orders, and loading delivery trucks 3. Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, including inventory and receiving logs, pallet tags, daily and weekly maintenance logs, temperature logs, and time sheets 4. Responsible for maintaining sanitary, safe food handling practices in the warehouse 5. Responsible for compliance with all safety and transportation laws 6. Ensure that short shelf-life product is distributed in our network in a timely manner to minimize waste 7. Responsible to see that food is distributed promptly as prioritized by TFB leadership 8. Work with the Director of Food Strategy and Safety, Chief Operations Officer, Director of Operations and all pertinent staff to achieve and maintain AIB food safety standards at The Food Bank Market. 9. Responsible for the cleanliness of The Food Bank Market warehouse facility & its perimeter. 10. Report all errors or questions to the Director of Operations in a timely manner.
Pay:
$38,000.00 - $42,500.00 per year
