Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic Assembly Team Leader for our second shift to drive manufacturing excellence on our production floor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly operations. Shift:
2:48 PM to 11:00 PM This position requires weekend availability. Employees will receive two consecutive days off during the week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines. Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. Ensure all policies and procedures are followed by all and actions for non-compliance are fair, consistent and timely. Interpret specifications and job orders to workers and assign duties. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintain time and production records. Perform activities of workers supervised. Evaluate and complete performance reviews ensuring all reviews are fair, consistent and timely within the assigned work cell Directly supervises 3 to 12 employees in assembly. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Set clear and consistent performance expectations for employees and instill a culture of Accountability Coaching others for development; identify and develop people to promote within the organization Administer all performance related issues within cell group. Act as a main liaison between other support departments (QA, Maintenance and Materials). Responsible for area and housekeeping of same, such as cleaning machines and areas around them as needed during shift. Promotes safety in the workplace, follows all safety rules, and recognizes and corrects unsafe work conditions. Must be able to work mandatory overtime. The regular schedule for this position exceeds eight hours per day, 40 hours per week. Must follow all work rules and policies. Experience Proven experience in factory or manufacturing facility environments, with a focus on assembly or mechanical work Demonstrated leadership experience managing production or assembly teams in a fast-paced setting Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and using measuring instruments Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and warehouse equipment Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including lean manufacturing practices and process improvement initiatives Ability to interpret production documents, follow safety protocols, and adhere to manufacturing management procedures Prior experience working with manufacturing management systems or related software is a plus Join us as an Assembly Team Leader on our second shift to lead with energy, precision, and purpose! Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
