Full Job Description Ministry Function:
The Inventory Receiving Director supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by leading and directing all receiving operations across Convoy of Hope distribution facilities. This role is responsible for managing Inventory Coordinators and Inventory Count Coordinators, overseeing the accurate receipt and valuation of all inbound transactions, maintaining valuation databases, ensuring audit compliance, and facilitating seamless cross-departmental coordination to support efficient receiving workflows.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Directs and oversees all inbound receiving activities across all locations (World Distribution Center and all Regional Distribution Centers.) Ensures all inbound loads are accurately adjusted, received, and processed in a timely manner. Assists with direct-ship load adjustments and receipts as needed. Assists with receiving to all locations as needed. Monitors receiving workflows to identify bottlenecks and implements process improvements that support operational efficiency. Serves as the primary liaison between Transportation, Fulfillment, and Procurement as it pertains to receiving transactions and activity. Researches inventory valuations and completes necessary documentation an accordance with audit standards. Maintains and updates valuation databases with accuracy and consistency. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in inventory transactions and/or business. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong organizational skills for handling several projects at one time. Must be detailed-oriented with the ability to follow through without direct supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in working with confidential material. Must be able to stand for long periods of time when doing physical inventory and periodic cycle counts. Ability to be flexible, work overtime, and respond to rapidly changing priorities. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position directly supervises all Inventory Coordinator and Inventory Count Coordinator positions and is responsible for hiring and evaluation of said staff members.Benefits
