Job Description
Lambert Auto Salvage is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Warehouse Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and help lead our warehouse employees. This is a working lead position . The Warehouse Team Lead is expected to work alongside the team while also providing direction, training employees, maintaining quality standards, and making sure daily warehouse responsibilities are completed safely and efficiently. Leadership Responsibilities Provide day-to-day direction and oversight to warehouse employees Assign and prioritize daily tasks based on workload and company needs Train new employees on proper warehouse procedures, equipment use, quality standards, and safety practices Continue coaching and teaching existing employees to improve performance and efficiency Lead by example by maintaining a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional behavior Monitor employee productivity and quality of work Make sure employees understand their responsibilities and are completing assigned tasks Address minor day-to-day issues and communicate larger concerns to management Encourage teamwork and help maintain a productive work environment Communicate with management regarding workflow, staffing needs, problems, and employee performance Warehouse Responsibilities In addition to leading the team, this position will participate in normal warehouse activities, including: Inspecting used automotive parts for damage and quality Packaging and preparing parts for shipping or delivery Banding engines, transmissions, body parts, and other large automotive components Receiving incoming parts and deliveries Loading and unloading trucks Operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment Moving and organizing automotive parts throughout the warehouse Making sure parts are properly identified and stored Maintaining clean and organized work areas Helping ensure outgoing parts are correct, properly inspected, and securely packaged Assisting other departments as needed to keep parts moving efficiently Quality & Safety The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for helping maintain a high standard of quality control and workplace safety . This includes making sure employees are properly inspecting parts, handling parts carefully, using equipment correctly, following established procedures, and maintaining clean and safe work areas.
