Lawn King is a locally owned company providing Lawn Care, Landscaping, Irrigation, and Snow Removal services throughout the Grand Forks region. We are seeking a dependable and mechanically skilled individual to join our team as a Lead Fleet Mechanic . This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, loaders, tractors, mowers, and snow removal equipment that keeps our company operating year-round. This is not a dealership position where you'll work on the same equipment every day. Our fleet supports multiple divisions, providing a wide variety of equipment, repair challenges, and opportunities to build your skills throughout the year. We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, enjoys solving problems, works independently, and wants to be a key contributor to a growing company. Experienced mechanics are strongly encouraged to apply, but we are also willing to train the right individual with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fleet Maintenance & Repairs Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, lawn care equipment, irrigation equipment, and snow removal equipment Perform preventative maintenance and inspections Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel, gasoline, and small engine systems Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Perform welding and fabrication repairs or modifications when needed Fleet Management Maintain preventative maintenance schedules Track equipment condition and service records Reduce downtime and improve fleet reliability Assist management in prioritizing repairs Coordinate parts sourcing and outside vendor repairs when necessary Shop Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Manage shop inventory and parts organization Properly operate tools and diagnostic equipment Help improve maintenance procedures and shop systems
SUMMER SCHEDULE
May 1st•October 31st (Approximate) Monday-Friday Typical hours: 7:00 AM•5:00 PM Additional hours may be available depending on workload Support mowing, spraying, landscaping, and irrigation operations
WINTER SCHEDULE
November 1st•April 30th (Approximate) Monday-Friday Typical hours: 7:00 AM•5:00 PM Overnight or Weekend support during snow events may be required Prepare and maintain snow removal equipment Focus on preventative maintenance and fleet readiness
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred but not required: Fleet, diesel, agricultural, automotive, or heavy equipment experience Welding and fabrication experience Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience Experience with loaders, skid steers, trucks, trailers, tractors, mowers, or snow equipment Basic computer skills Valid driver's license Successful candidates will possess: Strong problem-solving ability Attention to detail Organizational skills Dependability and accountability Ability to work independently Positive attitude and willingness to learn
