Job Description
Job description: Inventory and Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of inventory and warehouse operations. This includes managing receipt, storage, and customer arranged outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving practices. The role requires strategic oversight, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to meet organizational goals and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Perform daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, inventory management, storage location management, and outbound shipping. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment compliant with OSHA and company safety standards. Practice good warehouse layout and storage optimization strategies. Current responsibilities include manage waste disposal relationships, pickup schedules and "dunnage" return/disposal, and recycling pickup of steel drums, plastic pallets, bundled aluminum waste containers. Shipping & Receiving Manage incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery using OpenDock /Load Smart Software. Oversee preparation of shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, customs documentation). Coordinate with carriers and vendors for optimal delivery schedules and freight rates. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems that is transitioning to Netsuite Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Forecast inventory needs based on production schedules and sales forecasts. Finished Inventory Management Correctly inventory finished goods counts of customer manufactured products. Ensure proper labeling, palletization, and counts. Effectively manage warehouse space to optimally receive inbound materials Reporting & Compliance Maintain GMP practices on all inbound and outgoing materials. Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF and other established regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., customs, hazardous materials, transportation laws). Qualifications - Required for consideration 3+ years of demonstrated experience in warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), OpenDock, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook and other data analysis/reporting tools. Ability to develop and improve daily operations, workflow, materials flow, space utilization and be "ahead" of problems before they occur. Skills and Competencies Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in English & Spanish. Physical Requirements Extended periods of standing, walking, and moving through the warehouse environment.
