The Team Lead supports Supervisors on productivity, safety, and service levels. They lead a frontline team by example, train new associates, and solve problems as they come up.
Shift:
1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Must be flexible for extended hours, weekends, and peak holiday seasons.
Key Responsibilities Shift Leadership:
Lead daily huddles, assign labor across lines, and confirm the shift is fully staffed, including temporary associates.
Performance:
Track associate productivity against hourly targets, give real-time coaching, and work with Supervisors to meet service levels.
Order Fulfillment:
Run daily fulfillment workflows. Manage batching, holds, priorities, and cancellations in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Enforce special packing and branding guidelines.
Inventory Flow:
Monitor staging, replenish workstations, resolve stock discrepancies, and coordinate with inbound, inventory, and outbound teams.
Hands-On Support:
Pick, pack, quality-check, and prepare shipments during peak volume.
Troubleshooting:
Document scanner, software, and hardware issues and escalate them to IT and leadership.
Safety:
Conduct daily safety audits and station inspections. Enforce 5S, PPE, and OSHA standards.
People Management:
Track attendance and timecards and manage breaks. Onboard and train new hires. Address conflicts and escalate employee relations issues to Supervisors and HR.
Continuous Improvement:
Reduce pick errors, optimize travel paths, and increase throughput.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
2 to 4 years in e-commerce fulfillment, distribution, or high-volume warehouse operations, including at least 1 year as a lead.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
Systems:
Hands-on experience with WMS, RF scanners, and inventory software.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Excel, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), and Slack or Teams.
Leadership:
Able to motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and prioritize multiple tasks with urgency.
Physical Stamina:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for 8 to 10 hours.
Equipment:
Forklift, pallet jack, or order picker certification is a plus.
Reliability:
Outstanding safety and attendance record.
Language:
