PM Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Operations Contractor to support the setup and operational launch of a new offsite warehouse facility supporting a major entertainment and hospitality venue in Las Vegas. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced warehouse, logistics, or facility-launch professional who can take an empty warehouse footprint and help transform it into a fully functional storage, staging, receiving, and logistics operation. Reporting to the Building Manager, this role will lead warehouse layout and organization, coordinate facility setup and vendors, establish operating procedures, develop logistics workflows, and ensure the facility is ready to support ongoing venue operations. The initial assignment is 6 months, with potential for a longer-term opportunity based on business needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute an efficient warehouse layout using 5S and Lean workplace organization principles , including storage zones, material flow, staging areas, and clear egress. Oversee the initial move-in and physical setup of the new warehouse, including shelving, equipment, workspaces, and support areas. Coordinate vendors and specialized contractors supporting waste management, recycling, pest control, power, data, lighting, surveillance, and other facility needs. Establish and organize shipping/receiving, quality control, retail processing, administrative, and warehouse support areas. Develop inbound freight, dock scheduling, local transportation, and inventory transfer workflows between the offsite warehouse and venue. Collaborate with Retail, Food & Beverage, Events, and Operations teams to establish scalable storage and staging plans. Support high-volume inventory turnover, seasonal product changes, retail launches, and live-event logistics. Coordinate sourcing, deployment, and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and box trucks. Establish warehouse security procedures, including access control, badging, keys, surveillance, and alarm protocols. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and test warehouse technology, inventory systems, timekeeping, security systems, and related IT infrastructure. Develop and document SOPs, emergency action plans, contingency procedures, and operational workflows for the new facility. Support receiving of large-scale attraction, scenic, retail, and operational assets. Assist with warehouse staffing, training, and operational readiness activities. Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols surrounding unreleased products, intellectual property, and proprietary assets.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience leading warehouse operations, facility launches, greenfield warehouse setups, or high-velocity logistics operations. Experience in retail & entertainment strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience taking a new or underdeveloped facility from setup through operational readiness. Strong knowledge of warehouse layout, spatial planning, traffic flow, storage optimization, and 5S methodology . Experience developing SOPs, emergency plans, contingency workflows, and other operational documentation. Experience coordinating freight, dock scheduling, local transportation, and inventory transfers. Valid driver's license and experience working with box truck operations required. Experience with WMS, digital inventory systems, barcode/RFID tracking, digital timekeeping, or inventory migration projects. Strong vendor management, organizational, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills. OSHA 10 and Forklift Operator Certification preferred , or willingness to obtain required certifications.
