1st Shift Warehouse Team Leader (Glenville, NY) McCollister's Transportation. - 3.2 Menands, NY Job Details Full-time $22 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Freight documentation management Computer literacy Forklift Order fulfillment receiving Shipping and receiving inventory management Desktop applications Warehouse experience Typing Productivity software Truck loading and unloading Material handling equipment operation Transportation documentation for distribution operations Full Job Description 1st Shift 7 AM to 7:30 PM Overview Reports to Warehouse Supervisor Plan and execute assigned orders to exceed customer expectations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain profitability for McCollister's and its members. Works as part of the McCollister's electronics warehouse to supervise the safe, productive, and efficient loading, unloading, and distributing of freight to meet customer and warehouse requirements. Responsibilities Supervise and train freight handlers to maximize efficiency and exceed customer expectations. Protect freight, equipment, and facilities. Complete all required paperwork associated with freight handling. Verify that all required van equipment or special instructions have been met. Strive to improve warehouse efficiency. Train warehousemen. Quality assurance. Operate warehouse equipment, including forklift. Handle van equipment. Asset scanning system. Keep track of all inventory, ensure all products are received by customers in good condition. Paperwork, load/unload documents. Additional duties as assigned by management. Education Equivalent combination of education and experience. E xperience A minimum 2 years' warehouse operations experience and be proficient at loading, unloading, receiving, and paperwork management Forklift and bar coding experience is needed Ability to lift 75 lbs Positive communication skills Competent computer skills Candidate must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Must be organized Proven track record of working in a team environment and autonomously Key Competencies Must be able to work in a fast pace environment Able to learn asset scanning system Strong work ethic and detailed Willingness to learn Positive communication skills Very organized and work in a timely manner Team oriented and personally committed to continuous improvement Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and positively with all members of the organization Basic computer and typing skills for basic Microsoft Office and Google G Suite applications
