POSITION SUMMARY
Serve as back up to warehouse shift manager as well as serving as trainer for warehouse operations. When not performing back up or trainer duties this position will function as a Forklift Operator.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direction and assistance to forklift operators when manager is not present Provide coverage for manager to support production requirements Train new hires on warehouse operations Utilize RF scanner guns Move, locate, relocate, stack and count inventory Run and transact Oracle reports and follow Oracle procedures Assist inventory control personnel in cycle counts and inventory adjustments Follow GMP protocols and participate in daily GMP walkthroughs when manager not available Receiving Proficiency in all warehouse receiving and production support duties Shipping Monitor operation of automatic racking system (where applicable) Stage and prep outgoing orders Load outgoing trucks and ensure product is not damaged prior to or during loading Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actionREQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable); Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots) Ability to apply computer skills and math functions Strong communication skills, verbal and written Strong demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills Experience using RF scanner guns preferred 3-5 years previous experience operating forklift in a fast-paced environment Learning agile Previous training experience preferredWORKING CONDITIONS
