This is a working leadership position . The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning and directing warehouse activity, leading and developing employees, maintaining operational standards, resolving problems, and improving performance. At the same time, the Supervisor is expected to remain actively engaged in the operation and work alongside the team when workload, staffing, training, or operating conditions require it. We are looking for someone who has already led a warehouse or distribution team and is ready to take ownership of an operation, not simply complete assigned tasks. Responsibilities Lead daily warehouse operations across receiving, pick and pack fulfillment, LTL/FTL shipping, kitting, projects, and inventory activity. Plan and sequence daily and upcoming work based on customer commitments, priorities, staffing, readiness, and capacity. Assign work and adjust staffing throughout the day as operational needs change. Provide clear daily direction, coaching, training, and accountability to warehouse employees. Train and cross-train employees across warehouse functions. Ensure established SOPs, work instructions, quality requirements, and documentation standards are consistently followed. Address performance or process noncompliance through training, coaching, and corrective action as appropriate. Monitor productivity, accuracy, on-time completion, labor efficiency, and other warehouse KPIs. Investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, mis-picks, packing and shipping errors, receiving issues, and project errors. Identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and verify that corrective actions are followed. Coordinate warehouse projects from planning through completion, including labor, timing, quality, and operational readiness. Establish appropriate operational controls and verification processes based on risk, error history, customer requirements, and operating conditions. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, accuracy, training, and labor utilization. Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, safety, and operational discipline. Escalate capacity risks, priority conflicts, employee concerns, and significant operational issues when appropriate. Provide hands-on operational support when needed while maintaining responsibility for the overall performance of the department. Qualifications Prior experience directly supervising warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, or similar operational employees is required . Demonstrated experience assigning work, coaching employees, addressing performance issues, and managing daily workflow. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, packing, and shipping. Experience working with a WMS or similar inventory/warehouse technology. Ability to make sound operational decisions and re-prioritize work as conditions change. Strong problem-solving and root-cause investigation skills. Comfortable using productivity and quality metrics to manage performance. Able to communicate clearly with employees, management, and other departments. Organized, dependable, and able to maintain follow-through in a fast-moving environment. Willing and able to work hands-on with the warehouse team when operational needs require it. What Success Looks Like A successful Warehouse Supervisor will create a warehouse operation that is organized, predictable, accountable, and capable of meeting customer commitments without constant executive involvement. The team should understand what is expected, work should be properly prioritized, problems should be identified and resolved, employees should receive consistent coaching and training, and opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency should be acted upon. We are specifically looking for a leader who can own the performance of the warehouse , while remaining close enough to the work to understand what the team needs to succeed. GlobalNet Logistics INC is an equal opportunity employer.
