2nd Shift Supervisor Erie Industrial Products (EIP) -
Oberlin, OH Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 2:30 PM-11:00

Full-Time | Onsite Lead the Shift. Drive Production. Build a Strong Team. Erie Industrial Products (EIP) is looking for an experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor to lead our evening manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing production, quality, shipping, safety, and employee performance throughout the shift. We're looking for a manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the shop floor, solving problems, developing employees, and keeping operations running safely and efficiently. If you have experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and know how to balance production goals with quality, safety, and customer requirements, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Lead and coordinate second shift employees to meet daily production goals and customer requirements. Provide clear direction, coaching, feedback, and ongoing support to team members. Train and mentor employees on safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing best practices. Manage attendance, scheduling, timekeeping, and shift coverage. Monitor production schedules and adjust labor and priorities based on changing demands. Oversee equipment setup and operations to maintain efficient production flow. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and strengthen manufacturing processes. Ensure finished products meet established quality standards and customer specifications. Partner with Quality on inspections, nonconformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Oversee second shift shipping activities, including staging, packaging, documentation, and outgoing shipments. Ensure shipments are accurate, complete, and prepared to meet customer delivery requirements. Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive work environment. Assist with safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. What We're Looking For 35 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience overseeing production operations; experience with quality control and shipping/logistics is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, production priorities, and quality requirements. Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop employees. Strong problemsolving, troubleshooting, and decisionmaking skills. Ability to handle employee concerns and workplace issues professionally and effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with Production, Quality, Shipping, Maintenance, and other departments. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. Flexibility to work overtime or adjust hours based on business needs. Physical & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on manufacturing leadership position. Candidates must be comfortable working in a plant environment that may include moving machinery, forklifts, welding operations, industrial equipment, noise, and varying temperatures. The position requires extended periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Mechanical assistance or team lifting should be used when appropriate for heavier materials. Required personal protective equipment may include safety glasses, steel-toe footwear, high-visibility vests, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, welding protection, and other task-specific PPE.
