Job Description
General Purpose Perform a variety of senior-level clerical and operational duties in the warehouse. This may include coordination of inbound/outbound shipments, performing inventories, and maintaining accurate records both written and electronic in support of day-to-day operations. Serve as a resource to others inside and outside of the warehouse and perform assignments determined necessary by the team or management to ensure team success. Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide regular communication with key plant or location personnel related to outbound and inbound shipments Perform month-end inventories of product in a timely manner with reconciliation of inventories Ensure all product is shipped to outside warehouses in a timely manner and BOL are sent to customers Ensure inventory of cooler is reconciled at the end of each month Make entries in appropriate computer system(s) Ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) is being maintained Unload trucks as needed using Powered Industrial Trucks Communicate as required with truck drivers, customers, vendors and suppliers in a professional manner Function as an engaged employee and contribute to the site s continuous improvement efforts Follow all DFA GMP s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
Other duties may be assigned as required Schedule - subject to change Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent 1 to 2 years warehouse or related experience Certification and/or License - must have or be able to obtain forklift certification Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems Able to respond courteously and efficiently to inquiries, complaints, and requests Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing Able to work with accuracy and detail oriented Able to follow directions and meet deadlines Able to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize own work activities Able to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
