Job Description

Company Overview:
Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC is a leading manufacturer and marketer of branded and private label charcoal, manufactured fire logs, fire building products, matches and toothpicks. In addition, the Company also manufactures railroad cross ties, which strengthens our relationship with our suppliers in the charcoal business. We offer a full suite of grilling products including charcoal briquettes, all-natural lump charcoal, fire starters along with the Pine Mountain fire building brand, the Diamond brand, and the Specialty Wood Products brand.
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the shipping team in efficiency, stocking and storage strategy, inventory management, and related strategic warehousing efforts. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating some operational activities within the shipping unit and will work closely with unit's supervisor on some performance management efforts. The hours for the Warehouse Supervisor position are 6:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, Saturdays as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead shipping team in execution of daily operations, including improving efficiency of tasks and management of warehouse resources; Analyze appropriate data to help with best use of all resources. Coordinate daily activities of forklift operators. Utilize team and resources to manage loading / unloading of trucks. Check-in drivers and verify correct load numbers. Print bills of lading. Ensure team is adhering to organizational safety protocols; perform safety meetings daily. Assist in the training of new hires. Periodically report to supervisor on team and individual work accomplishments, progress, and problems. Assist with physical inventory of raw material or finished goods; Ensure accuracy/ adherence to inventory process. Carry out other duties to support daily operations as needed.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
Positive, open-minded, strong leadership skills, and be able to display outstanding customer service. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to establish effective working relationships with persons at all levels of the organization. Safey must be of high importance and priority. Analytical with commitment to accuracy, quality, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Time management, efficiency, and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
Education:
High School Diploma/ GED required. Bachelor's degree or 2 years relevant work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time (12 hours minimum). Ability to work in extreme environmental temperatures. Ability to work overtime and occasionally do so on short notice. Casual manufacturing environment; Comfortable attire appropriate for manual labor environment.
