Get to know us Quest Window Systems Inc ("Quest") is a manufacturer of a window wall system designed for high-rise residential developments, based in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Quest services clients from all over North America, including major metropolises such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Toronto. Our Garland Facility is currently seeking a Shipping/ Logistics Supervisor with 3 - 5 years of leadership experience. Window aluminum industry experience is a plus. Purpose This position is responsible for providing support in driving the process of continuous improvement from procurement to product delivery. This position takes a leading role in meeting targets for safety, quality, delivery cost, inventory, customer service and employee satisfaction/development. The Supervisor coaches, trains, supports, and develops a team of flexible, multi-skilled employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What you will be doing Oversee and evaluate all activities of the dock and dock employees, ensuring safe and efficient loading of all freight. Comply with and follow Quest quality guidelines and follow quality control plans Verify that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness and implement safe lifting and loading techniques and regularly evaluate employee's compliance Ensure product handling practices meet customer expectations Participate in safety improvements to decrease potential of workplace safety injuries Assist in identifying training needs and propose ideas to eliminate customer complaints Support and participate in 5S activities, elimination of waste and update work processes Perform other related duties as assigned What you will bring along 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations High School diploma or equivalent experience Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate people Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Window aluminum industry experience is a plus Additional Information Health insurance is 100% covered for employee Discount programs Education Assistance Referral Bonus Equal Employment Opportunity Quest USA Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
