Full Job Description Summary Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hires and trains new employees. Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned Team. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Position maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items; securing warehouse; supervising staff. Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.   • 80% Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements. Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. Moves inventory by scheduling materials to transfer to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments. Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items. Maintains storage areas by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements. Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data. Responsible for warehouse security via alarm system. Requires alarm testing. Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Warehouse Efficiencies

  • 10% Implements warehouse efficiencies and cost reduction programs to assist the company in making better merchandise flow decisions by conducting thorough analysis on key areas which cause product or delivery issues. Responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates. Maintains and strengthens internal, external customer and supplier relationships. Communicates and works with all business partners. Ensures inventory management and allocation flows product through the warehouse in the most cost efficient and productive manner. Education and/or Experience Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer college degree in management or business related field. Prefer 1 to 2 years warehouse experience.
Essential Skills:
Requires excellent communication skills and a professional attitude in dealing directly with all associates. Must be flexible in working overtime depending on work requirements. Must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as a team. Requires strong problem solving skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members. Must have ability to generate management reports in Excel, ISO experience to create SOP, work instructions and procedures in Word and presentation materials in PowerPoint formats. Must be multi-tasking and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Requires abilities to set and shift priorities based on business requirements.

Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
