56+ hours per week Position Overview Express Employment Professionals of Denton County is seeking a dependable and experienced Lead / Forklift Operator to oversee daily operations during a short-term warehouse project. This individual will serve as the on-site job lead , helping coordinate assignments, keep the team on task, and ensure daily operations run smoothly while also operating a forklift as needed. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded warehouse professional with strong forklift, shipping and receiving, leadership, and computer skills . This position requires someone who can confidently take initiative, communicate with team members, and help keep the project organized and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary lead for the warehouse team and oversee daily assignments. Help coordinate workflow and delegate tasks to team members as needed. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stage materials. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments and organizing inventory. Use handheld scanners, computers, and inventory systems to track materials and complete documentation. Monitor daily productivity and help ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and project contacts. Help troubleshoot day-to-day issues and provide direction when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support the team and project. Qualifications Previous leadership or team lead experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment. Strong, hands-on forklift operating experience . Previous shipping and receiving experience . Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory management systems. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and keep a team on schedule. Dependable, responsible, and comfortable working independently. Ability to work extended hours and a 7-day schedule throughout the project. Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and safely perform physical job duties.
