This role involves managing the receipt and dispatch of shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and a strong commitment to safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. As a key team member, you will lead shipping and receiving activities to support seamless logistics operations. Duties Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities, including loading millworker trucks and receiving door trucks. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse or loading dock area. Ensure all shipments are accurately documented, labeled, and stored according to company procedures. Coordinate with warehouse staff to prioritize shipments and maintain timely deliveries. Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damages or discrepancies, reporting issues as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by tracking incoming and outgoing stock levels. Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth logistics operations. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting. Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures. Ability to load millworker trucks efficiently and safely. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Drive to take ownership of a role and all its outcomes. Good communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks as required.
