General Labor:
  • $15.00/hour
  • Temp-to-hire opportunity Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of metal components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure precise execution of tasks. Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and stick welding in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit and alignment. Operate machinery such as plasma cutters, machining tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times. Support the handling of sheet metal, ductwork, metal materials, and other components involved in construction or manufacturing projects. Skills Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a strong understanding of safety procedures. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints for accurate fabrication and assembly. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding with adherence to AWS standards. Ability to operate measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements. Mechanical knowledge of tools, power tools, hand tools, machining equipment, soldering techniques, plasma cutting devices, and assembly processes. Familiarity with construction experience involving ductwork or metal framing is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills necessary for shop math calculations. Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of work to ensure a secure work environment.
