$16.00 per hour

Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license required Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong understanding of workplace safety practices Experience Requirements Previous forklift experience required 1 year of experience in a steel yard, warehouse, manufacturing, shipping, or material-handling environment Experience loading trailers and securing freight is a plus Yard dog or terminal tractor experience preferred Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and steel materials Preferred Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to shipping accuracy Excellent communication and teamwork skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Knowledge of load securement procedures and material staging practices Ability to adapt to changing workloads and shipping priorities Physical Capabilities Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required Ability to climb on and off semi-trailers throughout the shift Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical labor for extended periods Comfortable working outdoors year-round in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions Ability to safely work around moving equipment, trailers, and steel products Able to lift 50 lbs. + steel-toe boots Job Duties Operate forklifts daily to move, organize, and stage steel materials Prepare materials for shipment and load trailers efficiently and safely Verify all materials and quantities before trailers are released for shipment Secure loads using straps and other approved load-securing methods Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free yard and work area Position, move, and organize trailers within the yard as needed Communicate load status, completed tasks, and shipping updates to supervisors Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Assist with additional yard, shipping, and material-handling duties as assigned Benefits Competitive Weekly Pay Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
