General Purpose of Position:

A Delivery Driver/Loader is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, as per Company standards, while loading product safely, efficiently and accurately; as well as helping customers with their orders at the register as needed while safeguarding Company assets.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Delivering products/Hay to all delivery customers in an efficient and safe manner. Taking delivery orders from customers when necessary. Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining superior standards, solid product knowledge, and all other aspects of exceptional customer service. Assists Lead Barn Warehouse in accurately and efficiently processing product transfers coming in and going out to other Olsen's stores. Ensures that each customer receives the correct product, and that it is loaded carefully into each vehicle. Communicates customer requests/complaints to management. Maintains orderly appearance of loading area and supplies stocked. Maintain accurate register cash counts. Cash drawer to balance at beginning and end of shifts. Any other tasks as assigned, from time-to-time, by any manager.

Skills and Competencies:

Effectively communicate with associates and customers. Ability to read, count, and write in order to accurately complete all documentation correctly. Ability to safely operate forklift, and all other equipment necessary to perform the job.

Requirements:

Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and continually move 50-80 lb. bags and 60-110 lb. bales of hay, which entails lifting, bending and squatting. Forklift certification.  Propane dispensing certification, if location sells propane. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights (for special events), weekends, and holidays, as needed. Able to learn and operate a register and count back money to customers. Must have valid Driver License and clean 5-year MVR.
