Full Job Description Warehouse Worker Pay:

From $20.00 per hour Job description: Buy Ranch Direct is a family-owned direct to consumer meat business selling online and at local farmers markets in Southern California. This is a 5 day per week position. Our preference is to hire a full-time (40 hr/week) warehouse employee, but part-time is also potentially available on a case-by-case basis. Once hired, the hours & days worked are expected to be consistent every week.

Basic requirements:

• Experience with inventory management & associated best practices such as stock rotation, consolidation of inventory, FIFO, etc.
• Ability to handle routinely being in a walk-in freezer for extended periods of time, lift 50+ pound boxes, push heavy loaded carts, etc.
• Solid time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed in full each day and week.
• Basic customer service and order taking skills.
• Be a self-starter.

Let your manager know when you have finished all assigned tasks and regularly suggest ways to improve warehouse functions.

Warehouse Primary Duties Are:

• Weekly reloading of our Farmer's Market trucks that house the inventory that will be sold at our Farmers' Markets each weekend. This is a primary job duty and will be something you'll have to learn over time. It can be mastered fairly quickly with good attention to detail.
• Receiving frozen meat shipments on a weekly basis, up to 4 times per week. All products are received palletized in 30-70 lb. cases, and need to be received, inventoried, and put in their storage locations promptly with a high degree of accuracy.
• Fill daily orders and wholesale account orders with 100% accuracy when necessary; pull items from our storage freezers as per each order. You will also assist the Shipping Department with daily runs to ensure a separate Shipping Freezer is stocked as necessary. Attention to Detail is key!
• General maintenance and upkeep as needed (routine cleaning, mopping, etc.) and manual labor as needed for various projects around the warehouse (reorganizing the warehouse, cycle counts, periodically defrosting & cleaning freezer trucks, etc.) This position is warehouse based but will require you to wear different hats from time to time as we are a family-owned small business.
• This warehouse position will have approximately 8-hour shifts 3-5 days (full vs part time) per week plus a 30-minute lunch break.

Typical hours at the warehouse are from 8:00am to 4:30pm and the actual days worked are TBD during the interview process. Limited overtime may be required on some occasions. While we do our best to keep everyone scheduled for the same days every week, some weeks will require adjustments to the days worked based on company needs. Upon completion of a 90-day probationary period, pay will be increased to $22/hour.
