Warehouse MHE Technician Chedraui USA often needs Warehouse MHE Technician for our Distribution Center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Tech is responsible for performing both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance of the warehouse's machinery and material handling equipment. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various systems including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of the warehouse's equipment.DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and other power equipment. Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, using avariety of tools and equipment. Document maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring accurate records of all activities and compliance with safety regulations. Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for the procurement of necessary maintenance suppliesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Equipment Maintenance:
Regularly perform preventive maintenance on all warehouse machinery and equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, and HVAC systems to ensure they are in good working order.Repair Work:
Diagnose mechanical issues and conduct repairs on various equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to warehouse operations.Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and enforcement of safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.Troubleshooting:
Quickly and effectively identify and solve technical or mechanical failures in warehouse equipment, applying knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of maintenance work performed, inventory of parts and supplies, and other documentation required to comply with company policies and regulatory standards.Emergency Response:
Available to respond to emergency calls for repairs and maintenance issues during off-hours if necessary.Physical Tasks:
Engage in physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods, which are necessary to perform job functions.Equipment Installation:
Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration into existing systems.EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE REQUIRED
Training/Experience 1-2 years of experience in a distribution center environment preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work in a multi-temperature environment. Familiarity with food safety and/or OSHA standards is desired. Trained and skilled in machinery and MHE systems repair. Skills Team player Regular/dependable attendance at work Good communication skills Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and positive attitude Ability to manage multiple tasks, manage time efficiently, and attend to details. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Skilled knowledge of machinery and Material Handling Equipment repair.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Essential for moving large items and equipment within the warehouse.Electrical Tools:
Multimeters, voltage testers, and other diagnostic tools for electrical systems.Mechanical Tools:
Wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other hand tools for mechanical repairs.Hydraulic Equipment:
Tools and equipment for maintaining hydraulic systems, such as jacks and pressure gauges.Welding Equipment:
For fabrication and repair of metal components. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Gloves, helmets, eye protection, and hearing protection to ensure safety while working.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The warehouse is considered a standard, multi-temperature warehouse environment where the temperatures vary considerably: General indoor warehouse temperature is partially dependent upon the outdoor temperature. Produce refrigerated coolers are maintained at 40-45 degrees. Refrigerated coolers are maintained between 0 and 25 degrees. Some of the cold environments require special uniforms.ACCESSIBILITY
