• Job Title: Material Handler
• Job Description
• The Material Handler receives, verifies, locates, scraps, stores, and transports materials used in a manufacturing process to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials to production. This role supports warehouse and manufacturing operations by safely moving materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and operating various power industrial equipment within an industrial environment.
• Responsibilities
• + Receive, verify, and locate incoming materials used in the manufacturing process.

+ Scrap, store, and transport materials to appropriate warehouse and production locations to support continuous production flow.

+ Execute material picks for internal delivery to production cells and validate order accuracy prior to delivery.

+ Pack, load, and unload a variety of conveyances to and from trucks and material storage locations within the warehouse and manufacturing plant.

+ Perform material movements and record all moves to the proper locations using the appropriate systems and documentation.

+ Operate power industrial equipment such as tuggers, stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and forklift trucks in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Complete daily inspections on power industrial equipment and record any unsafe conditions or issues.

+ Operate an RF Smart scanner and other warehouse technology to support inventory control and material tracking.

+ Maintain equipment, including completing safety check sheets and reporting maintenance needs.

+ Notify the Supervisor or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, or other issues.

+ Support inventory control activities such as cycle counts, kitting, shipping and receiving, and data entry in systems such as SAP ERP, WMS, and Excel.

+ Provide responsive customer service to internal stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production needs.

+ Assist in other areas of the warehouse or manufacturing operations as needed and recognize when additional help is required.

+ Work overtime and occasional Saturdays when production volumes increase.

• Essential Skills
• + Valid California Drivers license, maintained in good standing.

+ Prior sit-down forklift training or 13 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.

+ Demonstrated experience with forklift operation, including sit-down, stand-up, order selecting, and general material handling in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to operate power industrial equipment such as tuggers, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and forklift trucks safely.

+ Computer literacy and data entry experience, including use of systems such as SAP ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Excel.

+ Experience with inventory control processes, including shipping and receiving, cycle counts, kitting, and inventory tracking.

+ Ability to use RF scanners (including RF Smart scanners) for material and inventory transactions.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.

+ Capability to work and participate on cross-functional teams.

+ Flexibility to perform multiple tasks and assist in different areas as operational needs change.

+ Accountability for achieving personal and team goals.

+ Ability and willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays when production increases.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience working in SAP or an equivalent complex ERP system is a plus.

+ Experience with warehouse data entry, including Excel data entry and WMS transactions.

+ Background in customer service within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

+ Familiarity with inventory control practices such as cycle counts, kitting, and shipping and receiving.

+ Comfort working in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment.

+ Attention to detail when validating orders, recording material movements, and maintaining documentation.

• Work Environment
• The role is based in a loud, industrial manufacturing environment that includes both warehouse and production floor settings.

Team members work around active machinery and material handling equipment and must adhere to safety protocols at all times. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required on the manufacturing floor, including goggles, earplugs, and steel toe boots. Work may involve varying shifts with the need for overtime and occasional Saturdays when production increases, and daily activities include operating power industrial equipment, using RF scanners, and working with ERP and warehouse management systems in a dynamic, high-activity setting.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Redwood City, CA.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $24.

00 - $26.64/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
