Description Join a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Redwood City is seeking a Part-Time Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations during a busy period. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, can work independently, and has strong experience with QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online Responsibilities

+ Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

+ Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

+ Maintain accurate general ledger records

+ Assist with month-end close activities and journal entries

+ Prepare financial reports and budget-to-actual analyses

+ Monitor and track restricted and unrestricted funds

+ Support grant reporting and documentation as needed

+ Ensure expenses are coded accurately and in compliance with nonprofit guidelines

+ Assist with audit preparation and account reconciliations

+ Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation Requirements Qualifications + 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or nonprofit accounting experience

+ Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required

+ Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities

+ Understanding of nonprofit accounting principles is highly preferred

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

+ Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience
