Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Wire Room Associate. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, physical work in a structured but team-oriented warehouse environment.
Schedule:
The shift hours are 7:00am - until end of shift Responsibilities Safely operate wire cutting and measuring machines to cut, coil, and respool wire according to exact customer specifications. Pull wire from large bulk spools and accurately verify product codes, gauges, colors, and quantities. Prepare customer orders for shipping and will-call pickup. Restock wire racks and assist with tracking bulk inventory and overall inventory management. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load and unload heavy wire reels and pallets. Stock incoming materials on shelves in a neat and organized manner and bring down overstock as needed to replenish empty shelves. Learn and utilize the company's internal system and become familiar with warehouse paperwork. Accurately record material information for invoices to be processed through accounting. Check pulled orders for accuracy before delivery to customers. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse by sweeping, removing trash, emptying trash cans, and replenishing supplies. Unload incoming trucks. Operate a forklift. Training and certification will be provided if needed. Adapt to changing priorities and respond to urgent warehouse needs throughout each shift. Work independently while effectively prioritizing tasks without constant supervision. Perform additional warehouse duties as needed. Qualifications Self-motivated and able to work independently. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Ability to push and move heavy wire reels. Ability to climb ladders and work safely at various heights. Ability to stand and work on concrete floors for entire shifts. Basic math skills, including the ability to measure and calculate wire footage. Willingness to learn all aspects of warehouse operations. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Adaptable, organized, and able to anticipate and prioritize tasks without being micromanaged. Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining an organized warehouse. Willingness to learn and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts. Previous forklift experience is a plus, but not required; training and certification can be provided. Motivated to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the company.Pay:
