South El Monte, CA Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Customer communication Forklift Non-CDL Class C Warehouse experience Materials handling Pallet jack Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse / Yard Assistant to join our welding supply team. This is a hands-on position that includes assisting customers and company drivers, loading and unloading welding cylinders and supplies, maintaining the warehouse and yard, and helping with general shop duties. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, willing to learn, and comfortable with physical work. Previous warehouse, yard, or industrial experience is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate has a good attitude, follows instructions, works safely, and takes initiative throughout the workday. Duties Assist customers with loading and unloading welding cylinders and supplies Assist company drivers with loading and unloading trucks Load and unload incoming materials and supplies Move and organize welding cylinders in designated areas Help organize inventory and warehouse materials Keep the warehouse, yard, and work areas clean and organized Sweep and maintain indoor and outdoor work areas Paint and maintain welding cylinders as needed Safely move cylinders and materials using carts, pallet jacks, and other appropriate equipment Assist with receiving and putting away incoming merchandise Follow company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers Help with general warehouse, yard, and shop duties as needed Make occasional small local pickups or deliveries as assigned Perform other related duties as needed Skills Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain regular attendance Strong work ethic and willingness to stay productive throughout the day Comfortable performing physical work indoors and outdoors Able to safely lift, push, pull, and move materials throughout the workday Able to follow instructions and established safety procedures Good communication and customer service skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to learn about welding supplies and cylinder handling Basic math and counting skills Warehouse, yard, construction, industrial, or similar hands-on experience is a plus Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus but not required Valid California Class C driver's license required Able to safely operate a standard company vehicle for occasional local pickups or small deliveries
