We are seeking a detail-oriented Saw Operator/Warehouse Helper to setup and operate saw and alternative power saws. The ideal candidate ensures materials are cut precisely to customer specifications without chipping, scratching or marring the raw stock.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Blueprints & Work Orders :
Interpret blueprints, job orders, and cut lists for dimensions tolerances, and specific tooling instructions.
Machine Setup :
Select, position, and secure saw blades. Set up fixtures, feeding devices, and stops. Adjust controls to manage specific speeds, feed rates, and depth of cut.
Material Processing :
Safely maneuver and position large plastic sheets, rods, or tubes on the the saw table. Engage feeds and manipulate handwheels to run material through the machinery.
Quality Assurance :
Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance of finished products. Inspect parts to confirm surfaces remain clean and edges are smooth.
Maintenance & Cleanliness :
Monitor blade sharpness and replace dull blades as needed. Clear out plastic dust and remnants to keep workstation safe and clear.
Order Prep :
Pick, pack and ship customer orders and assist with loading
Customer Service :
Assist customers via phone or in person with order and products questions.
Qualifications & Requiremens Experience:
Prior experience operating industrial saws (CNC panel saws, bandsaws, or circular saws) in a manufacturing, plastics or woodworking environment is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and digital dimensions accurately. Basic math skills are essential.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift, push and pull heavy or awkward plastic materials.
Safety Mindset:
Commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.50 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
