Warehouse Specialist-1st Shift (56446) AFR Furniture Rental United States, Florida, Kissimmee Sep 01, 2026 Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing all duties related to incoming and outgoing merchandise at AFR's warehouse. The specialist will work 1st shift with occasional overtime when needed according to location and business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Unload/Load trucks using an RF scanning device. Compare paperwork to NAV inventory system.
Check NAV to ensure all Inventory has been scanned according to Order paperwork.
Post all collections and deliveries. Confirm all paperwork and pickups via Logistics Dashboard.
Touch Up and reclass merchandise in warehouse using appropriate product protection.
Lift, carry and place products into and take out of racks.
Inspect merchandise for any damage or breakage prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
Record all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork and report to Management.
Complete inventory preparation for warehouse stock.
Stage merchandise to prepare for shipment as needed.
Fill customer order in accordance with Pick Tickets, complete appropriate paperwork, and place a copy with the merchandise for shipment.
Scan all orders and print pre-shipment paperwork as appropriate.
Operate forklift, palette jack and hand trucks following all safety guidelines.
Always maintain a neat and orderly workplace.
All warehouse personnel are required to sweep up and remove / dispose of debris.
Follow safety procedures in accordance with training and report any dangerous conditions to management immediately.
Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
Good oral, written and reading communication skills.
Time Management with excellent organizational and planning skills.
Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
No experience is required but prior warehouse experience will be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Forklift license, certified by
AFR. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS
This job will require the employee to stand and walk 90% of the time.
Ability to perform simple tasks, rational thinking and numerical calculations is required.
