Description All Material Handlers must cross-train and become experts in all positions of the cork line machine. These positions are 12-hour M-F Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM and some Saturdays. What you will do as a Material Handler in the
Cork Department:
Operate lift truck 90% of the time when working at the end of the line. Keep designated lines stocked with all material needs. Move products from various areas within the plant using scanners and systems. When working in the gantry area, check for defects. Place a cork sheet on the slab without creating off-quality. Assist Operator 2 when needed. Remove and replace scrap bins. Manually load or unload materials. Replace the gas tank on the lift truck as needed. Lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Follow all safety regulations. Maintain good housekeeping. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor Qualifications Ability to read, write, and communicate in Basic English Must be 18 years old or older Must be able to pass the eye exam Must have at least 1 year of previous lift truck experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to mount & dismount the lift truck repeatedly. Must be able to perform basic computer functions Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment Complete Huali's lift truck certification.
