Job Description

We are looking for a person that is passionate about completing tasks and going above and beyond daily goals. This person will be very detailed and is committed to the success of the warehouse, the supply chain team, and the company. This person will have primary responsibility for the accurate and timely transport of materials to work sites or warehouses utilizing a box truck, stake bed truck, or a sprinter van. This person will also be responsible for transferring products with a forklift into/out of the warehouse and to other storage areas or departments. They must be able to communicate well with the warehouse team and other departments. The following responsibilities are essential, but not all-inclusive.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead crane to move materials and load/unload trucks
- Tag all pallets if they are on the dock for shipment
- Organize, load, and drive truck shipments in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate pallet jack or forklift in a safe, and efficient manner
- Maintain work area in a clean organized, and safe manner
- Accurately check all shipments against e-mails and/or packing slips
- Check schedule regularly for changes to shipping, order pulling, or order changes
- Follow all safety rules and operational procedures
- Maintain a very high standard of great customer service to all departments
- Crosstrain in all areas of the warehouse
SUPERVISORY / BUDGETARY / EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY
- This is an individual contributor
- Responsible for communicating internally/externally to employees and vendors
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENT
(minimum competencies required for job performance)- Must manage and prioritize shipping, receiving, and dock responsibilities
- Must accurately check shipments going out
- Must have a sense of urgency throughout the day
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all departments
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control required
- Must be able to drive a forklift, box truck, sprinter van, and stake bed truck
- Must possess a state of Georgia Health Card and be able to work independently
