Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering furniture to customers while also supporting warehouse operations through manual handling, loading, and unloading shipments. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to smooth operations and satisfied clients. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and personal vehicles for delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and organize materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Deliver goods directly to customers' locations, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout each interaction. Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management, moving stock, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication with the team. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with safety protocols for heavy lifting and weight handling in the workplace. Operate material handling equipment safely while following proper manual handling practices to prevent injuries. Requirements Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Valid driver's license or equivalent for box truck driving. Proven delivery driver experience, especially with courier or driver roles involving route driving and load & unload procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; experience with manual handling equipment like pallet jacks is advantageous. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; adherence to traffic laws at all times. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication purposes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
