This role is essential for efficiently managing inventory movement, order picking, and materials handling within a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience operating double reach forklifts, along with a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and safety protocols. Your expertise will contribute to seamless warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and the safe handling of goods across various storage areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate double reach forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse Perform order picking using barcode scanning technology to ensure accurate shipment processing Manage inventory levels by organizing stock in designated storage locations and conducting regular cycle counts Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and forklift safety protocols during all equipment operations Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on forklifts and related equipment to ensure optimal performance Support warehouse management system data entry for inventory tracking and order processing Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve workflow efficiency Ensure manual handling procedures are followed for heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries Participate in safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse environment

Requirements:

Proven experience operating double reach forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, lift trucks, and Hi-Lo equipment in a warehouse setting Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices Familiarity with OSHA regulations, forklift safety standards, and heavy equipment operation protocols Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts accurately Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling, and manual handling techniques Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate order picking and inventory control Prior experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is a plus but not mandatory Basic understanding of equipment repair procedures is advantageous Join our team as a Double Reach Forklift Operator if you are committed to safety excellence, operational efficiency, and contributing to a well-organized warehouse environment.
