Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and the safe handling of materials. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will ensure smooth distribution processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of our warehouse environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management systems, heavy equipment operation, and logistics coordination. Duties Operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and cranes to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock checks using inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS) Support order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely order fulfillment Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, stock levels, and inventory transactions in compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards Handle materials manually with proper manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) Participate in warehouse stocking activities, ensuring materials are stored correctly and accessible for easy retrieval Support heavy equipment operation during material handling tasks while following safety procedures and technical guidelines Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in inventory management software (e.g., AS400) and warehouse management systems (WMS) Valid certifications or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment Strong understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards and proper PPE use during all warehouse activities Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards Basic math skills for inventory counting, order processing, and documentation accuracy Prior experience in warehouse supervision or logistics is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude towards learning is essential Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and order fulfillment processes Join our team today to be part of a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real impact!
