Job Description

Clear Staff is helping a client here in Elmhurst who is looking for a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk. The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk directs, coordinates and plans the warehouse storage and distribution of products for the Elmhurst, IL facility. Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform daily gathering of specified parts, also known as "pulling", and packing of parcel shipments both for UPS and FedEx.
  • Perform material handling duties, packaging of skids, and staging shipments in the shipping area.
  • Receive products, stage for inbound inspection, and store products in the appropriate location.
  • Prioritize packing of orders to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Check packages/skids for correct shipping instructions as noted on the picking tickets.
  • Verify all packages for correct part numbers and quantities against picking tickets.
  • Scan all picking tickets in the Transportation Management System (TMS) to provide shipping information and create shipping labels and documents.
  • Follow record keeping requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections as required. Supplemental Duties Some Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerks may be asked to take on supplemental roles, based on their skills, longevity and attitude. Examples include
  • Assist Warehouse & Shipping Manager with navigating customer portals and web pages to pull advanced shipping notices, labelspecs and invoicing.
  • Create customer labels
  • Schedule pickups with various trucking and shipping companies.
  • Ensure documents are properly retained and stored for future reference. Education and or Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience and certification a plus.

$19.00 per hour
